The following menu appears when 'Polarity' is selected from the opening menu.  Normally, this is used only once, at setup.  We've left it accessible for everyday use since it is sometimes handy to flip or invert the image for aesthetic reasons.

Flip  Scan - flips the selected (X or Y) scan from left to right or top to bottom.
Invert (SEC or BSE) creates a negative of the image.  

The last Polarity settings are retained and will be in effect the next time you use the image collection software.
