Our MISSION:

To provide microscopists with real time visualization of SEM samples using single or multiple detectors at rates adequate to work interactively with the specimen. To capture the resulting images with accurate spatial and gray scale resolution.

This entails:

Manufacture of PC based hardware interfaces capable of accurately quantifying individual signals from the SEM.

Creation and maintenance of real time imaging software which allows unique methods of  visualizing image data.

The result we desire:

A higher degree of interactivity with the sample.   The highest degree of reduction in 'post image capture' processing possible.  Better scientific visualization of sample characteristics.   The highest resolution and signal to noise ratio possible in the shortest time allowed by beam-sample physics.

We like what we do.  Not simply because it's interesting, but because it is worthwhile in a much larger sense...........

Properly Digitized SEM's help the environment and lower operating costs by reducing Polaroid film usage by an average of 80 to 90%. 
Enhanced visioning and analytical capability allows new and old SEM's to be kept in service for significantly longer periods of time.  This saves materials and capital equipment expenditures. 
Unique imaging algorithms help students 'think outside the box' of viewing the SEM merely as a high magnification 'picture taker'.
